GBR Nacra 15 Success
The Windsport catamaran coaching team would like to congratulate all the GBR Nacra 15 sailors who took part in the recent Youth Olympic Qualifier Event Medemblik Holland, with an extra special congratulations to Benno and Chloe for becoming the Nacra champions outright against youth sailors from all over the world.
Tom Phipps, Windsport’s foiling and performance catamaran coach has been working for some months with the team of Benno and Chloe, members of Restronguet Sailing Club, from the Windsport training centre near Falmouth Cornwall in preparation for this and other events.
Tom commented “ Benno and Chloe are real fighters. During our many coaching sessions they took on everything that was suggested and integrated that into their own style of performance catamaran sailing. Working out of the Windsport coaching centre allowed us a greater flexibility to develop techniques across a range of challenging sailing conditions. Success does not come without practice and they have certainly put that time in. Myself and the rest of the Windsport coaching team wish Benno and Chloe every success and look forward to watching the results at their next event.”
