The rest of the Windsport Team would like to congratulate Theo Williams, who works with us at weekends for finishing on the podium at the recent RYA Youth National Championships. He took a well deserved third place in his Nacra 15 youth catamaran racing at Hayling Island Sailing Club with his team mate Will Heritage.
Theo started catamaran sailing only a few years ago when Alex Metcalf from Restronguet SC headed up an UKCRA Dart 16 charter program for the club. Theo took up the opportunity and has been hooked since putting in the necessary hours of boat handling and speed skills to develop his competitive sailing. He has been regularly working on Saturdays at the Windsport Centre mixing with all the cat instructors and coaching team and can often be seen training off the Windsport boat park at Mylor harbour, Falmouth.
The Windsport team wish Theo every sailing success in the future and welcome him back to the centre when it is back to work as usual!!
