Only 5 weeks away the Windsport 2019 Multihull Regatta is getting the thumbs up from many entrants and is heading towards being a runaway success.

Top Gear

Sponsored by a number of the leading marine brands and Cornish business the regatta event is full of on water action and off water activity for sailors and families to enjoy.

With a flexible daily program of harbour challenges, costal raids, beaches and places to meet up and stop for lunch along with a time to explore other places in Cornwall  this regatta  program is firmly based on doing something different from  upwind / downwind racing, general recalls, waiting for the wind to settle, numerous races in one day and hard core racing with no time to enjoy the location.

The Windsport team have a wide range of catamarans at their base near Falmouth including a fleet of “Foilers” which  they intend to have on the water at some point during the week for those who want the experience.

The thumbs up for this event has also come from the Cornwall Tourist Board.  Malcolm  Bell from  “Visit Cornwall” said “ This is just the sort of activity Cornwall does best.  Falmouth Harbour and it’s coastal surrounds are perfect for sailing events and Windsport hosting this event is something we want to encourage in the future on an annual bases”

Brian Phipps from Windsport Falmouth (based at Mylor Yacht Harbour) said. “ Our thanks must go to the event sponsors and partners, local and nationwide.  This regatta event is unique and the plan is for many more in the future.  Sailors and their families are welcome, there is something for everyone to do and enjoy in Cornwall and not just on the water.
