Sprint 15 catamaran production is currently well underway at Windsport and their appointed suppliers to ensure all new boat orders for 2018 are ready and on time for collection or delivery.
With the Sprint 15 catamaran (formally known as Dart 15/Spark) celebrating 40 years of fast sailing the class is looking forward to a year of action on and off the water.
Designed by Rodney March of Tornado design fame, the boat was originally manufactured by Panthercraft in Cornwall and launched as the little sister to the Dart 18. Over the years the boat created its own place in the market making it the most successful single-handed style catamarans in the UK market with fleets of 70+ boat at national championships and excellent turnouts at events throughout the year.
The Sprint 15 is known as the small cat with a big heart was designed from the outset to be sailed single handed or with family / grandchildren and friends.
Designed as one of the few truly car top-able catamarans it provides a platform for fast and challenging sailing or class racing.
Fast and Fun sums the Sprint 15 up in on go, with a host of sailors ages and combinations sailing in the UK.
Some of the team at Windsport were on hand when the boat was first launched in 1978 so there is a real depth of knowledge to support the class association and sailors at events and online through the Windsport Catparts website and help desk.
The Sprint 15 class association stand will be displaying the latest manufactured boat at the RYA Dinghy Show in March.
